Yusuf is a respected tutor in our community. He is highly recommended for his commitment and the quality of his lessons. An excellent choice to progress with confidence.
About Yusuf
Hi, I'm Yusuf. I'm a final year Chemical Engineering student at London South Bank University on an IChemE accredited degree, and I use maths and chemistry every single day, both in my studies and in my work as a lab technician at Element Materials Technology.
I got an 8 in GCSE Maths and a 7 in GCSE Chemistry, so I remember exactly where students tend to get stuck, and I know how to get past it.
From 2018 to 2021 I volunteered as a teacher, running weekly classes of up to 15 students. That taught me to be patient, to explain things in more than one way, and to keep going until it properly clicks. I'm friendly and calm, and I want every student to leave a lesson feeling more confident than when they started.

Lessons cover KS3 Maths and GCSE Maths (Foundation and Higher, all main exam boards), and I'm happy to help with KS3 Science too.
In the first lesson I find out where you are and what's holding you back. From there we work through topics step by step, making sure you understand why a method works rather than just memorising it. Exam technique is a big part of what I do: reading questions carefully, showing working that picks up method marks, managing time, and practising with real past papers and mark schemes.
I teach at weekends (Saturday and Sunday), online or in person within about 10 miles of Ash, covering Aldershot, Farnborough, Guildford, Camberley, Woking and nearby. I'll set a little practice between lessons and keep parents updated on progress.

He helped me to study for my math GCSE, he was super helpful and supportive and explained the topics in a very understandable way.
I highly recommend this tutor for their professionalism, patience, and ability to explain concepts clearly. They are well-prepared, adaptable to different learning styles, and consistently supportive, making sessions both effective and encouraging. Any student would benefit from their dedication and strong teaching skills.
I’ve known Yusuf personally for several years, and I can confidently say he is someone I would highly recommend on Superprof. He is patient, reliable, and very easy to communicate with, which makes learning with him comfortable and motivating. Yusuf has a clear and structured teaching style, and he always takes the time to explain things in a way that suits the individual learner. He is encouraging, professional, and genuinely invested in helping others improve and succeed. I would strongly recommend Yusuf to anyone looking for a supportive and knowledgeable tutor.
