About Zaid
I'm Zaid, a Neuroscience major and pre-medical student at the University of Pennsylvania. My academic path has been built on the exact subjects I tutor, from the full organic chemistry sequence to general chemistry and introductory biology, so I bring both genuine subject mastery and a current student's perspective to every lesson.
I'm patient, reliable, and easy to talk to. I know how stressful these classes can feel, so I work hard to create a calm, judgment-free space where it's okay to be confused and ask questions. My goal is always to leave you more confident than when we started, not just with the right answer but with a real understanding of how to get there.
As a native Arabic speaker who also works and studies in English, I genuinely enjoy helping people learn, whether that's a science concept or a new language. I take this seriously, I show up prepared, and I'm committed to helping you reach your goals.

My lessons are built around understanding, not memorization. With organic and general chemistry especially, I help you see why a mechanism or reaction works rather than just what to write down. Once the logic clicks, you stop memorizing and start reasoning through problems on your own.
A typical session starts with figuring out where you're actually stuck, whether that's a specific concept, an upcoming exam, or a problem set you can't crack. We work through it together, I explain it in plain terms, and then I have you walk it back to me so we both know it's landed. I adapt the pace and focus entirely to you.
Here's what sets me apart. I'm a current Penn pre-med student who just completed the full organic chemistry sequence and introductory biology. The material is fresh, so I know exactly where these classes trip people up and which study strategies actually work. That's something a tutor who took these courses years ago can't offer.
My science lessons are for high school and college students taking general chemistry, organic chemistry, or introductory biology, especially pre-meds and anyone facing the weed-out classes. Separately, I offer Arabic lessons as a native speaker, for beginners through conversational learners of any age.
