About Bushra

I’m Dr. Bushra Majeed, a dedicated mathematics educator with a PhD in Applied Mathematics from York University, Canada, and over 10 years of international teaching experience. I’ve helped students from middle school to university excel in calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, and probability. I’ve served as a course instructor and long-time Teaching Assistant at York University, and was a lecturer at the University of the Punjab, Pakistan. I was awarded a Gold Medal for securing the highest academic standing in my MS in Mathematics. Throughout my academic career, I have consistently performed at a high level, earning top grades and multiple merit-based scholarships. I’m also PMP certified, which supports my structured, goal-oriented teaching approach. With strong expertise in MATLAB and Python, I bring real-world applications into my lessons to make complex ideas more accessible. I focus on building strong conceptual foundations and adapting to each learner’s needs in a supportive, welcoming environment. About the lesson

I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to accommodate each individual’s learning style. My approach focuses on breaking down complex mathematical concepts into simple and understandable steps. I use a mix of visual aids and real-life examples to keep lessons engaging and relevant. I encourage students to ask questions and actively participate to ensure concepts are fully understood, not just memorized. Each lesson usually begins with a quick review of previous material to reinforce learning, followed by the introduction of new concepts through clear explanations and step-by-step examples. We work through practice problems together, gradually increasing in difficulty. I also assign targeted exercises for independent practice and finish with a summary and tips for applying the concepts in exams or real-world scenarios. With over 10 years of teaching experience in both Pakistan and Canada, I bring a diverse perspective on student needs and learning environments. Having taught from middle school through university levels, I can connect with learners at any stage and build their confidence. My patience, clarity, and focus on making math approachable make my sessions supportive and motivating. I also specialize in adapting to diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, helping students overcome unique challenges. My lessons are ideal for students from middle school through undergraduate university courses who want to strengthen their understanding of mathematics. This includes students studying calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, probability, and related subjects.
