About Raeesah

I was selected by my lecturers to be a student tutor for chemistry at my university, and I have three years of experience in tutoring. I've tutored small and large groups of students ranging in size from 1 to 30. I'm always happy to help enhance your understanding of a topic. My students say: - "Your sessions were a lifesaver for helping me sort out what I didn't know & for helping me keep on track of things." - "It was really helpful not only for the material but for the lab also. Your explanation was straight to the point and really clear. I don’t know what would have happened without [your] tutorial as the video lecture was not that clear and a bit complicated for me. Overall I really enjoy the tutorial!!!" - "[Your] sessions really helped me a lot. Okay to be honest, I don’t like chemistry so much so in my year 1 sem 1 I did quite badly. Now with your notes, I got a [Distinction] for my chem (which I was really happy) because I didn’t even expect myself to get a [Distinction]." - "I think your sessions were really helpful! I really appreciate your help in explaining all the possible questions. Wouldn't have been able to get [Distinction] without your help!"

About the lesson

I am happy to give lessons on chemistry to first-year university students, A Level students and SPM/IGCSE students. After identifying your doubts in any topic, I like to prepare worksheets with relevant questions for you to attempt, and then we can discuss the answers step-by-step. For chemistry, I believe in teaching via having you draw out chemical structures - in organic and inorganic chemistry especially, visualization of chemical structures is extremely important and key to understanding your teaching material.

I've attend Raeesah tutor session in uni for chem unit. I love her way of teaching where she gave us tutorial to do and at the same time explaining the topic well and understandable. She has a good explanation and actively replying to our email on the question we asked. She is indeed a good tutor and a good friend to make. I highly recommend her to be your chemistry private tutor to help you excel in your chemistry .
