About Joe
I've recently graduated with an MSc in Applied GIS, and before that I completed an MPhys in Physics with Philosophy. In between, I worked as a data scientist. I'm passionate about science and I love coming up with new ways to explain scientific and mathematical concepts. I have previously volunteered as a tutor with The Access Project, delivering online one-to-one tuition in A-Level Physics and Maths and GCSE Chemistry. I'm committed to supporting a range of learning styles, including for neurodivergent students, and finding the best ways for individual students to realise their own potential.

I generally like to be led by what the student feels they need to learn about. After finding specific areas that the student most needs help with, we might go through problems together, to help the student more precisely identify the specific concept or technique in need of further explanation or practice, and then I could explain it in a range of different ways, to find something that makes sense to the student, learning more about the student's own learning style as we build a relationship in order to better personalise explanations and lesson plans.
