About George
I am a dedicated and experienced educator with a genuine passion for teaching mathematics and physics. Born and educated in the UK, I completed my PhD in Physics at Oxford University, an experience that shaped both my academic depth and intellectual discipline. Having also taught at an international school, I understand how to support students from diverse backgrounds and help them achieve ambitious goals.
I take pride in being professional, reliable, and well-prepared for every lesson. Students and parents can expect clear communication, structured sessions, and high standards throughout. My aim is always to build confidence alongside academic ability, ensuring students feel supported as well as challenged.
Outside of teaching, I have spent much of my life playing the guitar, competing in football and racket sports, and reading widely. These interests help me connect easily with students and maintain a balanced, approachable teaching style grounded in enthusiasm and discipline.

I am a relaxed and supportive tutor who focuses on developing strong problem-solving skills and deep conceptual understanding in mathematics, physics, and further mathematics. I completed a PhD in Physics at Oxford University and have taught these subjects at an international school, giving me extensive experience with GCSE, IGCSE, and A-Level curricula.
Lessons typically last 60–90 minutes and combine clear explanations with guided problem-solving and exam-style practice. I also include extension material to stretch strong students beyond the syllabus. I can also support students preparing for Oxford interviews, helping them develop the clear thinking and confidence required. My lessons are ideal for ambitious GCSE and A-Level students aiming for top grades and competitive university entry.
