About Eira
I hold an M.Mus in Piano Performance and Music Education and have 8 years of experience teaching piano to learners of all ages and abilities. My teaching philosophy emphasizes combining technical precision with musical expression, cultivating well-rounded pianists. I create a supportive environment that encourages experimentation, creative exploration, and personal expression while maintaining solid technical foundations. Lessons include scales, exercises, repertoire, sight-reading, improvisation, duet work, and performance practice. I provide constructive feedback, personalized guidance, and strategies to ensure continuous improvement in both technical skill and musicality. My approach balances discipline with creativity, promoting steady growth and confident performance. Outside teaching, I perform regularly, explore diverse repertoire, and study innovative pedagogical methods to enhance my lessons. Teaching piano is deeply rewarding because I witness learners grow technically, musically, and expressively. Lesson progression is tailored to each skill level. Beginners focus on posture, finger exercises, note reading, simple rhythms, and basic repertoire.
