About Akina
I often tutor my nephew on his studies and have previously volunteered at an engineering and science summer camp called Geering Up at the University of British Columbia as a Junior Instructor. At the camp, I primarily worked with younger kids around the ages of 6-12 years old so I do love being around kids and furthering their interests in learning. My way of solving problems is pure effort which is why I spent hours after school at the maths tutor club and ended up being a tutor myself for 2 years when I was became a senior. Other than tutoring I was also a badminton captain and coach so leadership and guidance comes naturally to me.

Hi! I am an ex- engineering student from the University of Toronto. It was (and still is) the number 1 university in Canada which is why I went and studied Mechanical engineering for a year, until I left to pursue my other interest (fashion) here in London! I've always been quite well rounded with my studies (straight As through high school, can definitely provide proof!) so I am comfortable with tutoring other subjects as well. I skipped a year of maths in my first a year of high school so I have always been a bit more ahead of the rest. However, I consider myself as a hard worker and not a genius which is why I am the perfect tutor to work through problems in small steps with.
