About Lina

Hi, I’m Lina, a passionate and dedicated primary school teacher who enjoys helping students build confidence and achieve their full potential. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Pathway to Teaching Primary) and a Master of Teaching (Primary) from Western Sydney University, and I have three years of classroom teaching experience, along with experience in tutoring.

I believe every student can succeed when they are supported with patience, encouragement and the right teaching strategies. My lessons are tailored to each student's individual learning needs, strengths and goals. I aim to create a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace.

As an experienced primary teacher, I understand the NSW curriculum and the importance of building strong foundations in mathematics. I use clear explanations, step-by-step examples and engaging activities to make challenging concepts easier to understand.

My goal is not only to help students improve their academic results but also to develop independence, resilience and a genuine love of learning. I look forward to supporting your child on their learning journey!

Hi, I’m Lina! I’m a qualified primary school teacher with experience teaching Kindergarten and Year 6, as well as tutoring students in primary school.

My teaching methodology

My approach to mathematics is student-centered, engaging and tailored to each learner’s needs. I break down challenging concepts into simple, manageable steps and use explicit teaching, worked examples, visual aids and hands-on activities to build understanding. I encourage students to explain their mathematical thinking, ask questions and develop confidence in problem-solving. I also identify learning gaps and adapt lessons to suit each student’s ability and pace.

Typical lesson length

Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, allowing time to revise previous concepts, explicitly teach new skills, practice guided examples and complete independent activities. Lessons can be adjusted to suit individual needs.

Qualifications and experience

I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Pathway to Teaching Primary) and a Master of Teaching (Primary) from Western Sydney University. I have three years of primary teaching experience and additional tutoring experience. I am familiar with the NSW Mathematics syllabus and focus on helping students strengthen their foundational skills and achieve their learning goals.
