About Sumit

I'm Sumit, founder of Impetus Learning and a NEET-qualified mentor with over five years of experience teaching Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology to Class 7–12 students across CBSE, ICSE, NIOS, and CAMBRIDGE - IB boards.

One of my students recently became Goa's state topper in JEE Mains — scoring 99.8 percentile. Others have achieved 99% in CBSE Class 10 boards, scored 100/100 in Mathematics, and consistently improved by 25 marks or more in their weakest subjects. These results are not outliers. They are what happens when a student gets consistent, personalized attention from someone who is genuinely invested in their progress.

About the lesson

Our philosophy:

Every student has a specific, identifiable reason for underperforming — and finding that reason changes everything. Before teaching begins, we map exactly where your child's gaps are, why they exist, and what it will take to close them. This is not generic tutoring. It is personalized mentorship.

One student. One mentor. Always.

Every student works with one dedicated mentor throughout their entire journey with us. The same person who conducts the diagnostic builds the weekly study plan, teaches the sessions, tracks progress, and speaks with parents in monthly review calls. No handoffs. No inconsistency. No "different teacher this week."

Your child builds a genuine academic relationship with someone who knows their learning style, their weak points, their exam anxiety patterns, and their personal goal.

How a typical session works

Each session is structured but adaptive:
→ Review progress against the weekly plan
→ Address the specific concept or problem area for that session
→ Work through misconceptions actively — not just re-explaining theory
→ Close with a short assessment to confirm understanding before moving forward

Every session has a purpose. We teach backwards from the target, not forward through a syllabus.

Who this is for

We work with students in Class 9 through Class 12 across CBSE, ICSE, and NIOS boards, and with JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and NEET aspirants.

We are particularly effective with students who:
→ Feel lost or overlooked in large coaching batches
→ Have weak foundational concepts that keep resurfacing
→ Have the ability, but not yet the structure and consistency to perform to it
