About Cheng

-I had been an artist at Artix Entertainment for 3 years working on their browser mmorpg, during that time I had organised in-game events, art directions, item/weapon creation and helping other fellow artists improve.
I had learnt a great deal from the lead developer on technical art skills, how to efficiently create in-game art.

-I attended the academy of interactive entertainment's game art/animation course and graduated within 2 years time, during that time I had a study group where the more experienced students would livestream and teach art fundamentals to those who were unsure about them.
In the end we all improved significantly and were able to produce quality game art.

-presently I have started a company with the graduates and are working on several games, as the creative lead it is my job to set the tone and style for the games, as well as design and create the central assets such as characters and environment.

My philosophy from experience when it comes to art is understanding and technique, talent may help you start but it is those 2 elements that matters most, I will work with you to build those skillsets.

About the lesson

Everybody is different. My way of training depends on what fits you best. I believe in an individual approach. We will have a short chat to understand your artistic background and strengths, get to know what subjects you want to create and I will adjust the lessons accordingly.

The flexibility of the lessons are totally up to you, once you have grasped the basics, we could then attempt a small project to put what you have learnt to the test.

My goal is to help you create a folio that you can proudly show to anyone and become a seasoned artist.
