I have a doctorate in environmental sciences. My research area is water. I have a masters in physics. I use mathematics to study natural resources. I have explored caves in Puerto Rico. When I teach physics I try to connect it to what the students are learning in other classes. Science is often taught in a disconnected form. I have had students who have taken organic chemistry and did not know that the gasoline that they buy for their car is a mixture of the chemicals that they have studied in class. I would like to work with students to do physics experiments with household objects.
