About ESTHER
Hello! My name is Esther, and I am a UK Qualified Teacher (QTS) currently teaching Science in a UK secondary school. Working in the classroom every day keeps me up to date with the latest curriculum, teaching strategies and examination requirements, enabling me to provide students with relevant and effective academic support.
I hold a BEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and an MSc in Control & Instrumentation Engineering (Distinction). Before moving into teaching, I worked in engineering, and I enjoy helping students see how Mathematics and Science are applied to solve real-world problems. Alongside teaching in school, I have also supported undergraduate Engineering students, including tutoring Engineering Mathematics and control systems.
I tutor KS3, GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level Maths, Physics and Science, as well as selected undergraduate Engineering and Mathematics modules. Whether a student is struggling with the basics, preparing for examinations or aiming for the highest grades, I adapt my teaching to suit their individual needs and learning style.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence as well as academic ability. I believe that with clear explanations, patience and the right guidance, every student can make excellent progress. Seeing students overcome challenges, enjoy learning and achieve results they once thought were out of reach is one of the most rewarding parts of being a teacher.

# About Your Lessons
Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit the student's current level, learning style and academic goals. Whether you are building confidence, catching up on missed topics, preparing for school assessments, or aiming for the highest grades in GCSE, IGCSE or A-Level examinations, I will create a personalised learning plan to help you succeed.
My lessons are interactive, engaging and designed to make even the most challenging Maths and Science topics easier to understand. I explain concepts step by step, using clear examples before guiding students through carefully selected practice questions. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically and develop the confidence to solve problems independently rather than simply memorising methods.
For exam classes, we focus not only on understanding the content but also on mastering exam technique. Students learn how to interpret command words, apply mark schemes, avoid common mistakes and confidently tackle unfamiliar questions using past-paper practice and targeted revision.
Lessons are delivered online using interactive teaching tools, allowing us to work through questions together in real time. Homework and revision tasks are provided where appropriate to reinforce learning between lessons, and I regularly monitor progress so students can clearly see their improvement over time.
I strive to create a positive, patient and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and challenging themselves. My goal is for every student to leave each lesson with greater confidence, stronger problem-solving skills and a deeper understanding of the subject, helping them achieve lasting success both in their studies and future education.
