About Peter
I graduated from Radley College, one of the UK’s leading independent schools. Since leaving school, I have co-founded a motor racing team and currently work in a laboratory at the University of Oxford. I also teach music and work part-time as a black belt Taekwon-Do coach. I am passionate about my subjects and particularly enjoy helping others develop their skills and confidence. Through teaching music and coaching Taekwon-Do, I have seen how much of a difference confidence can make to a student’s progress. Whether learning a new skill, performing, or facing a challenge, I believe that developing self-confidence gives students the belief to push themselves and achieve their best. This is something I would bring to my teaching: enthusiasm for the subject, encouragement, and a genuine interest in helping each student reach their potential.

I have A Levels in Maths, Physics and Biology, and I tailor every lesson around the individual student. It’s all about you — understanding where you are now, identifying what you need to work on, and helping you make real progress. Focus on areas of weakness: We’ll identify the topics you find difficult and tackle them together, so you can keep up confidently in class rather than feeling left behind. Prepare for exams: We’ll focus on exam technique, past papers and the areas that matter most, helping you go into your exams feeling prepared and aiming for the best grades possible. Build confidence: Getting the fundamentals right is key. Once you understand the basics, more challenging topics become much easier to tackle. Music tuition: I also teach piano, bassoon and music theory, adapting lessons to suit each student’s ability, goals and musical interests. My aim is not simply to help you get better marks, but to help you understand the subject, enjoy learning it and become confident in your own ability.
