  • When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

Art has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can recall. From the earliest memories of my childhood, I can vividly remember carrying around little notebooks, constantly engaged in sketching and doodling. My passion for art was ignited by the countless hours spent watching cartoons, which fueled my imagination and inspired me to bring my own characters to life on paper. This experience laid the foundation for my journey as an artist, instilling in me a deep-seated love for creativity and self-expression.
  • Which artists or works affect you the most?

My passion for animation has always centred on character design. My journey into this creative world began with the film Brother Bear where Aaron Blaise's art and animation profoundly influenced me and ignited my interest in animation. His talent for bringing characters to life was incredibly inspiring.

In addition to animation, I am captivated by works that delve into philosophical themes. Stories exploring human nature, existential questions, and moral dilemmas resonate deeply with me and challenge my thinking.
  • What are the qualities and skill required to succeed in this area?

Building your observational skills is crucial for expanding your visual library. Continuously observe the world around you, paying attention to small details. This habit enhances your ability to notice intricate aspects of your surroundings. When you create art, you'll find that these observations naturally influence and enrich your work, often without you even realising it.
  • What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

Concentrate on one task at a time and work on simplifying your workflow. The more you plan and organise each aspect of your project in advance, the smoother the creative process will be later on.
  • How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

My passion for art is a constant source of inspiration, drawing from the beauty of nature and meaningful conversations with others. This expands my creative pursuits beyond mere paper or screen.
  • What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

I am particularly proud of how far I have come with my work. After many years of practice, I can clearly see improvements in my art style and my ability to develop stories for my projects.
  • Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

Yes, I am constantly amazed by my students. Each one has a unique working style, and I am always excited to meet new students and learn about their journeys.
  • Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

I always remain open to the unique needs of each student. I strive to understand their individual working pace and tailor challenges to match their capabilities.
