About Kia Keng
My journey from a modest PSLE score of 198 to currently taking 2 H3 subjects at Temasek Junior College is proof that it is not about where you start, but how you finish. This transformation was fueled by my time in Outram Water Polo, where I learned that discipline and resilience are the foundations of academic success. My mentor, Mr. Francis Tang, taught me that demanding the best from others is a form of respect and that perseverance is always a choice. I understand the struggles of a "late bloomer," and I know that with the right mindset, second chances in our education system are real and achievable.
As a tutor, I aim to replicate the "strict but caring" mentorship that changed my life. I don’t just focus on grades; I focus on building the quiet confidence and character required to tackle difficult challenges. Guided by the belief that education is about believing in growth at every stage, I strive to ensure no student is left behind simply because they started slower. If you are looking for someone to push you to your potential while supporting you through the doubts, I am here to help you learn deeply and grow.

I hope to teach students problem-solving in a session of 2hrs, I follow Polya's way of engaging others to think more deeply. Although I have no "students", I did spend a lot of my time helping my friends and classmates in Sec/JC, helping them improve and understand subjects more intuitively and analytically. I hope to teach people preparing for the O/A levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
