As a former D1 volleyball player, I put all my time and effort into the sport. I got great grades and yet found myself in a position of unhappiness. I had no real plans to pursue anything outside of volleyball in college. This led me to making a ton of mistakes that caused me to stop playing volleyball, take myself out of college, and restart. At this point, I just knew I needed to graduate. It took me almost 8 years to get to that point and when I did I still felt lost. It wasn’t until I started working with students that I gained a passion for helping others realize there is more to life and pursuing what makes them happy and feeling fulfilled.
