About Bill
Hi! I am currently a second year Electronics Engineering student studying at the University of Manchester. I am a native Chinese speaker, born in Beijing and moved to the UK at the age of 10, which makes me fluent in both English and Mandarin.
Academic qualifications:
GCSEs: nine grade 9s and two grade 8s, including 9s in Maths, Physics, and Mandarin
A Levels: three grade A*s and one grade A, including A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and A in Computer Science
Intermediate Maths Challenge: Gold
Senior Maths Challenge: Gold
British Maths Olympiad: Merit
During my first year at university, I achieved 96% in the first semester maths exam, and 100% in the second semester maths exam. I was also awarded academic scholarship in my secondary school for my outstanding performance (Wellington College).

When teaching, I focus not only on helping students arrive at the correct solution, but also on ensuring they fully understand the underlying concepts. I adapt my teaching approach to suit different individuals, so that they can grasp ideas more effectively. I also teach according to the mark scheme making sure my students can achieve good grades.
