About Karikalan
I am a qualified civil engineer with a strong academic background in mathematics and technical problem solving. Throughout my engineering career, I have regularly applied advanced maths in real-world construction and infrastructure projects, which gives me a practical and grounded understanding of the subject. I studied mathematics at a high level and have always had a genuine passion for breaking down complex problems into simple, understandable steps. I understand how challenging maths can feel for young learners, which is why I bring patience, encouragement, and clarity to every single lesson. Each lesson is carefully planned to match the UK primary and lower secondary maths curriculum. I begin every session by reviewing the previous lesson to make sure your child has fully understood the topic before moving forward. All lessons are conducted online using a virtual whiteboard, making it easy for students to see and follow every step clearly. I explain each concept in simple, easy-to-understand language and encourage students to ask questions without any hesitation. At the end of every lesson, I provide a short summary and practice questions so your child can revise confidently at home. My goal is not just to help your child pass tests — but to genuinely understand and enjoy maths.
