About Sammy
I’m a former A Level student, who was previously employed for two years by a high school to tutor small groups GCSE maths and science, as well as tutoring privately. Have also just completed A level sociology and psychology, both of which I’m massively passionate about so would love to tutor any up and coming a level students.

I like to explain the basics first and then expand, keeping it as concise and simple to start with, going at a pace my student feels comfortable with giving them chances to test their knowledge before making things trickier or adding more information. Try and keep learning as interesting and interactive as possible. I definitely use a few weird and wonderful analogies that successfully helped my previous students to remember things.

sammy tutored me and my friend towards the end of year 10 and all of year 11. she was always extremely friendly and kind. when we didn’t understand something, she made sure to explain it us thoroughly and gave us practice questions until we understood it. i would recommend sammy as a maths tutor because she is friendly, down to earth and really helpful!
