About Alan
I have been a tutor in the Greater Boston area for 15 years. I work with students from middle school through high school through college in three main areas: academic content tutoring,
standardized test preparation (SAT, ACT etc.), college application and admissions consulting. I have worked with a variety of students, accelerated learners as well as those with special learning challenges. My philosophy is to help each student achieve his or her unique potential.

I have an BA in Liberal Arts from Columbia and a PHD in Social Sciences from Harvard. I teach many levels of students from middle school through high school through college and even into graduate school. I teach a wide variety of subjects in both math and science as well as English, history and the social sciences. I work with students individually or in groups and believe that helping the student feel comfortable and confident is the best way to achieve results.
