About Wendy
I am a passionate teacher with over 25 years teaching experience, with an Honours Degree in Educational Support. Besides teaching students from ages 6 - 14, I have headed up the Learner Support department and served on the school leadership team.
I personally thrive on working with numbers and I have a passion for teaching Maths, helping students who feel anxious about their ability or who have gaps in their understanding. My experience has taught me that a child's experience with Maths affects their confidence in other subjects across the curriculum as well as how they view themselves.
My lessons are calm, supportive and practical, with a dash of humour ;-)
I break concepts down into simple steps, use visual explanations, tips and tricks, and help students understand instead of memorising. Many of my students come to me feeling “bad at Maths” and leave feeling confident and capable.
I work especially well with:
• Students who struggle or feel behind
• Students with low confidence
• Students who need foundations before assessments
• Students who need explanations more than speed

I’m an online Maths teacher who helps students understand Maths in a simple, stress-free way. If you ever feel confused, stuck, or “just bad at Maths,” you’re not alone, and I’m here to help.
In my lessons, I break topics into small steps, use clear, visual examples and make sure you really get it before moving on. I love technology and I like to find games that make Maths learning FUN, with a dash of competition before launching into concepts made easy with tips, tricks and animations.
My goal is to help you feel more confident, improve your marks, and believe in yourself. Maths can make sense......and you can succeed! Let's love Maths together ;-)
