About Brandon

I’m Brandon, a TEFL-certified English tutor with a background in psychology and experience as an actor and poet. I specialize in helping intermediate and advanced learners refine their style, intonation, word choice, and business English. My lessons are personalized, engaging, and designed to build confidence so that you can communicate naturally and effectively in any situation.

About the lesson

I specialize in teaching intermediate to advanced English learners, focusing on intonation, word choice, style, and expression, as well as business and conversational English. My lessons are ideal for students who already know the basics but want to sound confident, natural, and professional.

Teaching Method & Techniques:
I combine conversation-based learning with structured exercises that emphasize pronunciation, rhythm, and vocabulary choice. Drawing on my psychology background, I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, ensuring you feel comfortable and motivated throughout the process. I also incorporate elements from my acting and poetry experience to make lessons more engaging, helping students develop expressive and authentic communication skills.

Typical Lesson Plan:

Warm-up & Conversation: We start with a short discussion to activate your speaking skills and review previous material.

Targeted Practice: Focused exercises on pronunciation, intonation, word choice, or business communication.

Application & Feedback: Roleplays, debates, or real-world scenarios to apply what you’ve learned.

Summary & Goals: Wrap-up with feedback and actionable steps for continued improvement.

What Sets Me Apart:
I bring a creative, psychology-informed approach to English teaching, helping students master not just grammar, but the style, tone, and confidence needed to truly stand out. My background in acting and poetry allows me to make lessons lively, expressive, and memorable.
