About Cristina
I have always loved teaching ESL because I learned English when I was in 2nd grade. Technically, that makes me an ESL student as well. I champion and encourage ESL students so well because I understand what it's like! I have walked with and tutored a group of young people from Brazil since 2016 and the majority of them can now carry a conversation about almost any subject and have become proficient and even advanced in their conversation. They are no longer shy or embarrassed to speak because I have a created a safe space for them (filled with joy!) where mistakes are not only welcomed, but necessary. If we do not encourage making mistakes, we will never learn. Learning with me will be encouraging, I promise.
