About Ruth
I am a TESOL accredited English Teacher authorised to work with children and experienced in teaching non-English speaking students of all ages both online and in classroom environments.
Students in remote and rugged areas of the globe have achieved the opportunity to enter High School through my exam preparation as well as teaching business people adapting to their new life in Australia.
As an Online TESOL English Teacher, I have taught and coached Backpackers around the world since 2017, assisting them with the knowledge to complete business forms, buy and register a vehicle and apply for their drivers licence. This followed my 7 1/2 years as a Customer Service Officer, coaching foreign drivers through business transactions at Queensland Transport.
My online English programs engage students of all levels through screen-sharing activities and games for effective learning, making lessons interesting and fun.
In July, 2019, I conducted a research project in Papua New Guinea for a major Foundation there, evaluating and providing recommendations, now implemented, in Teacher Training Programs in those remote schools.
As a Workplace Health and Safety Representative (2011-2016), I also designed and conducted training courses for Queensland Transport staff.
Now, it is my pleasure to bring this knowledge to you and enrich your lives in preparation for the new future ahead of you.

New to English: From alphabet to speaking basic English, including introductions, in 6 weeks. Also, the basic written English and punctuation necessary to prepare you for daily life in an English-speaking country.
General English: Improving your English skills to adapt to life in an English-speaking country or build on your vocabulary to expand your word range. Give your English better expression, both written and spoken, and apply it in conversation or in that important job interview.
Lessons are through screen-sharing via Skype, enabling you to engage in on-screen activities from your computer. These activities include board games and fun quizzes.
