A lot of tutors will often be teaching upwards of 10 students at any time. I prefer to do things differently.
Education is an extremely individual experience, and the last thing that a student needs is a tutor who views them as 'just another hour'. My teaching style revolves around having a very select number of students who I believe are willing and determined to improve their grades. This style has reaped rewards for my pupils in the year I have been working with MyTutor, with all pupils going on to achieve the required grades for their academic progress.To achieve this, a personalised learning plan that is put in place for each student. At the beginning of our time together, the pupil and I will work together to identify key weaknesses, in technique and theory, and come up with a plan to address these and gain the greatest benefit.
The secret to this success is the agency given to each student - rather than being taught as children, they are given responsibility and trust in order to help collaborate towards academic achievement, as opposed to normal tutors who will simply turn up for an hour and cover a topic - my work goes much further, and achieves much more.
