About Jacob
I was always interested in science while I had a talent for seeing mathematics visually. I took as many STEM courses as I could while getting my Physics degree and Math Minor at Eastern Illinois University. I tutored students in a wide range of courses from algebra to calculus, Finite Mathematics Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus 1 to 3, Differential Equations, Finite Mathematics, All levels of General Physics, and General Chemistry. I currently work for a Biopharmaceutical company that creates medicine for rare genetic diseases. Outside of work I draw and paint as a hobby, but Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics are my main passions.

A typical lesson plan from me works as follows:
1. I start by seeing how the student tries to solve a problem.
2. I then break down the scope of what the material is asking.
3. Finally, I demystify the mathematical technique and why it works.
I have a very engaging style of teaching mathematics that can help bridge the gap between numbers and abstract symbols to real examples. I show the reason why such equations exist and how it influences our entire physical reality from forces in nature to modern technology.
My lessons are helpful for all levels, but mainly from high school math to college and adults pursuing higher education.
