About Jonassen
Hi there! I'm Jonassen, a Mathematics and Data Science specialist who genuinely loves making numbers click for people. Does statistics feel like a foreign language? Is calculus giving you a headache? That's exactly where I come in!
I graduated with distinction from the University of British Columbia, earned a Gold Medal at the National Student Research Competition, and have published 11 research papers in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data science. Sounds intense, right? Don't worry, I promise my lessons are nothing like a research paper!
I've worked as a Research Assistant at UBC and as a data professional at one of Indonesia's fastest-growing companies, so I bring real-world context to every concept I teach. Why memorize formulas when you can understand where they actually come from and how they are used in the real world?

I hold a BSc in Mathematics and Data Science from the University of British Columbia, graduating with distinction and recognized on the Dean's List. As a Gold Medal winner at the National Student Research Competition and author of 11 published research papers, I bring a rigorous, research-driven approach to every lesson.
My lessons are structured, personalized, and paced to your level. Whether you are a high school student struggling with calculus or a university student tackling statistics, machine learning, or data analysis, I design each session around your specific goals and gaps. I use real-world examples and datasets to make abstract concepts concrete and applicable.
Subjects I teach: statistics, probability, calculus, linear algebra, data science, Python for data analysis, machine learning fundamentals, SPSS, and R. Besides, I also teach biology, chemistry, physics, and life sciences.
