About Botond
I’m Botond, a UCL student studying Statistics, Economics and Finance. I achieved A* grades in Maths and Further Maths at A level, as well as an A in Physics, so Maths is a subject I know very well and genuinely enjoy.
I want to teach because I know how much difference a good explanation can make. Sometimes a topic feels impossible, but once someone breaks it down properly, it suddenly starts to make sense. That is the kind of support I want to give.
I’m patient, easy to talk to and serious about helping students improve, but I also want lessons to feel relaxed and encouraging rather than stressful.

try to make Maths feel a lot less intimidating. I know how frustrating it can be when a topic just isn’t clicking, so my lessons are calm, patient and very focused on building confidence.
I achieved A* grades in both Maths and Further Maths at A level, and I’m now studying Statistics, Economics and Finance at UCL, so I’m very comfortable with the subject. At the same time, I’m close enough to the exam process to understand what students actually find difficult.
In lessons, I like to explain things clearly, go through examples together, and then help students practise the types of questions they are likely to face. My aim is for students to leave each lesson feeling more confident than when they started.
