About Dan
An amateur science lecturer: I was the president of the Mathematics and Theoretical Physics
Club at Cardiff Sixth Form College from 2019 to 2020. I offered lectures in advanced
Mathematics and Physics on a weekly basis and used simple language to explain somewhat
rather complicated concepts in mathematical physics, including differential Geometry & relativity.
I worked as an online tutor in summer 2016 and 2020, students of mine had received offers from ICL , UCL & NUS/NTU (Singapore), and achieved A*s in ALevels for all subjects.

An enthusiastic tutor with effective exam and revision techniques. I believe in the teaching sequence of conceptualisation (a fundamental grasp of knowledge), examination (exposure to unseen problems) and evaluation (analysis of problem solving skills). Apart from encouraging students to think, my teaching weighs heavily on spotting patterns and mapping problem solutions from one to the other. In my lessons, any gap in the knowledge of a specific topic will be filled, followed by an exposure to exam-style questions in varying levels of difficulty to consolidate understanding, and I will go through the techniques necessary to achieve a high mark, and the solution with the student. I worked as an online tutor in summer 2016 and summer 2020.
My teaching focus is on GCSE/A Level Physics and Mathematics/Further Mathematics, with familiarity with AQA, Edexcel, CIE and WJEC syllabi.
