About Joshua
Hi! My name is Josh, and I’m a passionate and dedicated tutor specialising in GCSE and AS/A Level Maths. I am currently a first-year Mathematics student at the University of Birmingham. I achieved an A in A-Level Maths, building a strong foundation in both analytical thinking and problem-solving. At GCSE level, I earned an 8 in Maths, reflecting a deep grasp of core concepts and exam technique that I now help my students master.
Alongside my A Levels, I gained hands-on experience tutoring GCSE students, supporting learners across both Higher and Foundation tiers. I’ve helped students progress from working at grades 2–3 to achieving 5s, enabling them not just to pass, but to exceed their original targets.

I believe learning should be clear, structured, and empowering — not confusing or overwhelming. My approach is student-centred and results-driven, combining proven study techniques with personalised support to help you reach your target grades and grow your confidence.
My sessions are highly interactive — I use an online whiteboard to deep-dive into exam questions step by step, ensuring students fully understand the methods rather than memorising answers. I also set targeted homework after each lesson to reinforce learning, and encourage students to check in with me anytime if they get stuck, so gaps are addressed early and confidence builds consistently.
The length of lessons is approximately 50 minutes.
