About Philip
I have been a tutor for 6 years as well as running a successful theatre company. I specialise in English and Maths with a focus on 7+, 11+ and 13+ preparation but my depth of knowledge in both subjects allows me to assist students with additional learning alongside their school curriculum developing their reading, writing and mathematical ability. I am an excellent tutor of Shakespeare and also tutor History. Students I have tutored have improved immensely at school, gained excellent exam results and been accepted into schools such as St Paul's, Highgate, Tonbridge, Francis Holland, Alleyns and many more.
I have a 2.1 BA Hons Degree in English Literature and Drama from the University of Manchester and a degree in Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. As well as my studies I have always had a great interest in literature, current affairs, poetry, plays and history and have a wide range of knowledge and experience that would benefit any child or adult looking for extra tuition.
I am an experienced online tutor with a network of current students set up on Google classroom. I conduct lessons via Zoom where I can share my screen to assist their home learning. In this current climate it is essential students continue to be stimulated in their education and I can provide in depth and varied lessons online to ensure this.

Philip teaches my bi-lingual German-English son public speaking and accent elocution. He is very professional, approachable and dedicated and manages to keep 90 min lessons great fun. We've made an amazing progress and my son twice had the highest mark in the class for English presentations.
