About Ryan
I have just graduated with a First Class degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford. Having started secondary school in the bottom sets for all subjects, but ending up in the top sets, I know how difficult it is to motivate yourself but also how rewarding it is to see improvements along the journey.
I strongly believe I will be able to empathise with students, and the challenges they may be facing inside and outside the classroom. I can help them deal with distractions, as I have managed to cope with studying for 4 A-Levels, playing rugby 4 times a week and upholding a social life. Due to only leaving school 4 years ago, my knowledge of subject curricula is recent and I'm able to develop lesson plans that are tailored to each student's needs. Through my experience at several kids camps as a sports coach and supervisor, I've developed my own teaching style as well as an understanding of the different ways that students learn.
In addition, throughout sixth form, I ran the after school maths lessons for the lower years, therefore I am comfortable to take on the teacher role. My role as Head Boy of my school has allowed me to lead and interact with students of all ages and abilities.
I specialise in maths, further maths and physics A-Level, along with all STEM GCSEs.
