About Alannah
I understand the value of a good tutor, and love helping students develop confidence and passion for their learning. I’ve visibly seen this in the students I have coached in my tutoring position, as well as Captain of my high school Honours Program and Creative Writing Club.
High school and the HSC are quite the marathon, and having a tutor who has only recently experienced it can be extremely beneficial. My high results in the HSC, including a band 6 in Mathematics Advanced and Mathematics Extension 1, gave me a thorough understanding of the courses. Achieving credit in mathematics and high distinction in physics and chemistry courses at UNSW also makes me well suited to tutoring these subjects.
As a UNSW Co-op Scholar, I ensure I am always professional, reliable and helpful. I want nothing more than to help each student achieve their personal academic goals, to facilitate whatever path they may wish to pursue after high school.

Offering online lessons in science for students years 7-10, and Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Extension 1, Physics and Chemistry for students years 11-12. Lessons are typically one hour in length, although this is flexible.
I recognise that each student has different needs, and always adapt my approach to suit those. My first priority is to help each student achieve their full potential, which I achieve through my flexible, intentional tutoring style.
I have been a mathematics tutor for over a year at a tutoring college, which has equipped me with invaluable experience working with qualified teachers.
I have developed an efficient teaching style and offer online lessons over zoom, providing you with a stress-free experience. I have invested in materials which allow students to view my working in real time, helping them stay engaged and ensuring they can make the most out of each lesson.
