About Sophie
I am excellent at explaining complex concepts in simple words, and motivating students, even when they are disengaged. Through this, I have improved others' grades from 60s to 90s. I took functions, calculus, and advanced functions in high school as well as MATH 115 and MATH 117 in university so I have a great understanding of the syllabus (97 high school average and 3.9 GPA in Waterloo). Fun fact, friends nicknamed me their tutor since I understand and explain concepts and problems really well whenever I help with homework.

Regular, online, one-hour lessons for all high school math courses, MATH 115 and MATH 117 where I can help you with homework, teach new content, or prepare for quizzes, tests, exams, and projects depending on your needs. I can teach new content using slides or YouTube videos, provide my own past papers and answers, and walk you through problems, etc. I will adapt my lesson plans and methods to each student because I believe that each student is unique and hence cannot be taught in the same way.
