About Jane
Why me:
I was considered to be a "prodigy" in childhood — could paint and draw form and space on a large scale before I had formal training.
Due to my painting and drawing abilities I was:
- Invited to paint and draw the figure with the Masters Students at Columbia University — when I was still an undergrad
- Awarded three graduate teaching positions — in painting, drawing and color — while getting my Master of Fine Arts Degree at CalArts
I am an upbeat "people person" and communicator as well, which enables me to teach and nurture others without being overbearing.
- Referred to teach at School of Visual Arts where I was on the faculty in the late 1990s

About the lesson

Oil Painting: Will thoroughly teach materials, how to mix colors and mediums, surfaces, tools, how to best apply materials, and safety.
Life Drawing: Will teach how to "see" form and space, from rapid 1-minute drawings to 10-minutes to an hour.
In my class — artists at any level, or teens preparing art school portfolios — will significantly improve — far beyond the average.
