About Naya
I am a passionate piano tutor with over 9 years of experience, dedicated to helping students discover the joy of music. I hold a **Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Studies**, which laid the foundation for my journey as both a performer and composer. Music, to me, is not just a skill but a lifelong path of growth, creativity, and self-expression. Over the years, I have worked with students ranging from absolute beginners to advanced musicians, guiding each one according to their unique goals and abilities. I believe in creating a supportive and inspiring learning space where curiosity and discipline go hand in hand. My lessons focus on building strong technical foundations while encouraging artistic expression and emotional connection with the instrument. As a performer, I explore a wide range of genres—from classical to jazz and pop—allowing me to bring versatility and modern relevance into my teaching. As a composer, I inspire students to develop their own musical voice through improvisation and creative writing. I strive to make every lesson engaging, meaningful, and tailored to each student’s musical journey. My teaching approach for piano is built on creativity, structure, and passion. I guide students from beginner to advanced levels, helping them understand not only how to play but also how to feel the music. My lessons focus on strong foundations in technique, sight-reading, and rhythm while developing each student’s individual musical expression. I include music theory to help students understand the language of music and apply it confidently in their performances.
For those preparing for exams, I offer complete support for **ABRSM**, **Rockschool**, and **A-Level Music** syllabuses. I make sure every student is familiar with the practical and theoretical requirements of their exam boards. My approach blends discipline with enjoyment so that learning feels rewarding and exciting.
Students also explore **music history**, gaining insight into composers, styles, and how music evolved over time. I encourage creativity through **composition** and improvisation, helping students craft their own musical ideas. Whether a student wants to master classical works or express themselves through pop and jazz, I provide guidance that suits their goals.
Each lesson is personalized to the learner’s pace, strengths, and interests. My aim is to build confidence, performance skills, and a deep lifelong passion for piano playing and music as a whole.
