Hello! I'm Andy, a dedicated and experienced math's tutor helping students across the UK achieve the grades they deserve — and enjoy the subject along the way.
With 25 years of tutoring experience , I've supported over 100 students from KS3 through to GCSE, including many who started feeling overwhelmed or stuck at a 4–5 and ended up with 7–9s. My students often say the biggest difference is finally understanding why things work, not just memorising steps.
I specialise in:
KS3 - boost for the future
GCSE Maths (Edexcel, AQA, OCR) — foundation & higher, with focus on common pitfalls like algebra, ratios, trigonometry, and statistics.
My approach is always personalised:
We start with a free 20–30 minute assessment (no pressure) to identify gaps, strengths, and how you/ your child learns best.
Lessons use clear explanations, worked examples, past papers under timed conditions, and exam technique drills.
I build confidence first — many students arrive anxious about math's, but leave excited to tackle problems.
Tools: Zoom, topic summaries I create, mistake notebooks, and regular progress checks.
