About Mariam

About My Tutoring

I am a Year 12 student passionate about helping others succeed in their learning. My approach focuses on building understanding and confidence, using clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, and practice questions tailored to each student’s needs. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and connect what they learn to real-life examples, making lessons engaging and meaningful.

Lessons typically last 45–60 minutes and are structured to balance explanation, practice, and review, ensuring that students stay focused and retain what they learn.

Although I am a peer tutor, I have experience helping students across Years 7–11 improve their skills, prepare for assessments, and achieve their goals. I am patient, reliable, and adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s learning style, making sure every lesson is productive and supportive.

Whether a student needs extra help with classwork, wants to strengthen their understanding, or is aiming for higher grades, I provide a professional and friendly learning environment that inspires confidence and encourages growth.

My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching

I focus on helping students understand concepts clearly and build confidence in their learning. I try to make lessons engaging by connecting topics to real-life examples when possible.

Typical Lesson Length:
Lessons usually last 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs. I like to break lessons into small segments: explaining, practicing, and reviewing, so the learning stays interactive and effective.

Qualifications & Experience:
I am currently in Year 12, and I have experience tutoring my peers in [subjects you’re confident in, e.g., English, Maths, Science. I am patient and adaptable, and I adjust my teaching style to suit each student’s needs.

Who the Lessons Are For:
I tutor students in Years 7–11, or specific levels, particularly those who need extra help with schoolwork, want to improve their understanding of a subject, or are preparing for assessments.
