About Brent

I’m an engineer with 5 years of professional experience, including the past 2 years dedicated to training and mentoring other engineers. Through this work, I’ve developed a strong ability to break down complex technical concepts into clear, practical steps that students can actually apply.

My approach to tutoring is hands-on and tailored to each student. I don’t just focus on theory—I help you understand how and why things work, so you can confidently solve problems on your own. Whether you’re trying to strengthen your fundamentals, prepare for exams, or improve your real-world engineering skills, I’ll meet you at your current level and help you progress efficiently.

Having trained engineers in professional environments, I understand the gaps that often exist between academic learning and real-world application. I aim to bridge that gap by teaching not just the “right answers,” but the thinking process behind them.

About the lesson

With years of experience in tutoring and technical training, I am passionate about helping students succeed in math and physics. As an engineer with a deep understanding of these subjects, I can provide real-world examples that bring the concepts to life and help you apply them to your academic work. Whether you need help with basic principles or more advanced topics, I am dedicated to tailoring my lessons to your unique learning style and pace. With my guidance, you can build a strong foundation in math and physics and achieve academic excellence. So, if you're ready to take your skills to the next level, let's get started today!

Deadly! He was great at helping break down practice problems into smaller components and explaining the concepts that each question was testing. Also very patient when it took me a lot of time to grasp a concept, and tried to explain it in different ways. Wound up with an A+ in the course!

Deadly! My daughter was very concerned about taking Physics 11 this year, but she wanted to persevere so that she could keep her university options open. Brent has been the ideal tutor: kind, clear and patient. His response time is fantastic and Physics has turned into subject that my daughter is feeling increasingly confident about.

Brent's response
Kai is a fantastic student! He showed fantastic engagement throughout the lesson and is quick to learn and recognize patterns. The next step for Kai would be to build an intuition about algebra and how to go about solving problems. All in all, he made the tutoring experience awesome!

Brent's response
Hannah is great student! She is very quick and adept at math solving math problems. One area that we are actively working on improving is her ability to solve word problems. Once the word problems are converted to numbers, she has no problem completing the problems perfectly well. After working through these, I'm sure she'll do fantastically!

Joseph

A classmate of Brent's. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him because he is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but has a great skill in being able to teach others. Brent is very good at explaining things, taking the time to make sure the concept is properly gotten across and understood rather than rushing it.

An experience we had together was a 8 and a half hour hike. Although not in the same situation as a tutoring session, the way that he perservered and kept the group motivated shows qualities that I would look for in a great teacher.
