About William
Hi there!
My name is Will, I’m currently studying Materials science and Engineering at Imperial college London. I enjoy mentoring as it allows me to share my understanding of science and maths as well as my experience in preparing for exams!
I am currently a volunteer mentor for GCSE & A-Level Maths and Science with an organisation called Salusbury world, where I have been working for the last two years. I also have previous mentoring experience from School, where I was a reading and maths mentor for younger students.
My teaching style is very interactive - Firstly, I like to find out the key areas that my mentee is finding difficult. I then prepare a lesson in each of those areas, where I cover all the important points in the Exam Specification in a way that the student can understand and remember. At the end of my sessions
I prepare practise questions for us to go through, to ensure they have a good understanding and clarify whether there are any areas that we need to go over in the next session.
The most important part of mentoring for me is to try and show students how exciting Maths and Science can be by providing them with exciting examples during our sessions, as I believe having passion for the subjects and being excited to learn can transform studying into a much more enjoyable experience!

Deadly! Maths a level
William has been an amazing tutor. He is completly dedicated in making sure you understand the topic and is always well prepared with lesson notes and questions to go through in the lesson. He is very punctual and very nice and all the lessons were always intresting and enjoyable. He is always avaliable to answer questions outside of lessons. I saw a big improvment in tests and exams. I would definitely reccomend him to anyone looking for a maths or chemistry tutor.
