About Tom
Hey, I'm a 1st year Astrophysics undergraduate student at Royal Holloway UoL. I'm looking for opportunities to do tutoring for pure and advanced mathematics along with physics at GCSE level through the months of June-September 2021 whilst I am not studying at university. I studied all of mathematics, advanced mathematics and physics at GCSE, I did these qualifications in 2017 under the Edexcel exam board and I am particularly familiar with the content taught in this setting, however I am flexible to other exam boards. I have thus far averaged a first in my undergrad degree and have now completed all of my end of year exams (hopefully completed them well!) and so I am available to focus my efforts on preparing to supply professional and friendly tutoring sessions. My methodology for tutoring is flexible to what you may prefer, however I personally find the most effective methods for revision to be practising past papers and repeating in-class derivations and solutions, so this will be my suggested method for tutoring. Tom was a fantastic tutor! Attentive and patient, despite my initial struggle with maths and my inability to do complex mathematics Tom helped me and devoted a lot of time to getting me at the level I needed to be. He is incredibly kind and had a friendly personality which made me feel comfortable and at ease.
