About Katie
I’m Kate — a neuroscientist, PhD researcher, and passionate tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience in school/university settings. I’m fascinated by how the brain works and love helping students turn difficult concepts into something engaging, understandable, and even enjoyable. I enjoy learning new things myself, which is one of the reasons I love teaching so much.
When I’m not researching or teaching, you’ll usually find me exploring the countryside where I live with my two dogs, planning my next travel adventure, curled up with a good book and an iced latte, or behind a camera capturing moments through photography.

Whether you’re preparing for exams, learning from scratch at the start of school, or working through research projects, I focus on making complex topics easier to understand with clear explanations and practical examples.
I work with students from primary school, GCSE, A-Level, undergraduate, and postgraduate level helping university students develop confidence with statistics, research, academic writing and data analysis.
Lessons are interactive, supportive, and adapted to your learning goals and pace. I’m here to help you improve your understanding, boost your confidence, and achieve strong results.
