I have known Tanmay since the past two years in my ToK class. The subject hinges on abstract discussions rather than only the content of different subjects (or Areas of Knowledge in ToK parlance) which is sometimes too overwhelming for a teen to comprehend unless s/he has substantial background knowledge. I could vouch for Tanmay as being one of the drivers of discussions in class. He used to engage himself in meaningful discussions not only in the classroom with his peers but also with me outside class. The nature of the subject allowed us to have talks which went beyond the 'syllabus' of any subject discussed. And it was here where I got to know about his range of studies beyond typical 'subject' topics. On a personal level, I found Tanmay to be an extremely well behaved kid who held respect for his friends and teachers alike. I am happy for him to be in a place where it seems he can be engaged in his sphere of likings.
