Limerick is an ideal place to learn medicine due to the presence of the top University of Limerick which has an ever-improving School of medicine. If you’re already a student then skip this section but if you’re considering studying medicine or living in Limerick then spare some time for Limerick as you never know, it may be the course of your dreams. Limerick produces high-quality doctors, nurses and even surgeons on a yearly basis so don’t worry about terms of quality. Limerick is at the top of its game!
Medicine is one of the hardest courses out there and if you want to do well or improve your performance at the University of Limerick, here are a few tips on how you can do that. Balancing life, work and social activity is one of the hardest things about the university, especially for medical students as the workload is intense but don’t worry! One simple thing that you can start today is simple scheduling. Use your phone's calendar or download another app if you want some extra features, the main point is to make a note of every event, be keenly aware of when your lectures, assignments and exams are and by planning roughly when you’ll have a study session, you’ll increase the chance of you doing regular work. A second thing you can do to prepare for medicine is to form or stick to a hobby. Mental health is very important and having a life outside of work is crucial. Especially in a work environment like medicine. This is why it is so important for medical staff to have hobbies, it ensures that you have something else than medicine going on in your life and it can be a great way to de-stress. The third and final tip to do well in medicine is to do a few private lessons and let me tell you why.
Tutors have many benefits. Firstly, they promote independent learning and study, think of them as a guide to help you form your own concrete habits and study patterns while preventing you from falling into common pitfalls. Secondly, they are great revision tools in themselves. They already know the material, they were either students themselves or are currently active in the field. This means they can test you on exactly what you need to do. Once they know your personal weaknesses and strengths they can write custom exercises and tests to really push your knowledge on the topics. These will be better than any exercise or revisory exercise you could ever make yourself. Lastly, they provide an environment that makes it easy for students to think about the material and to ask any potential questions they may have. Medicine is an intense field and the lectures are packed with information so students may feel under pressure and may not have the self-confidence yet to ask the questions that are important. Tutors remove this problem entirely and can make sure each student has a proper opportunity to understand the material.
When you’re looking for a tutor you don’t want to settle or cut corners. When students use Superprof, they don’t have to. Superprof has all the tools necessary to find the tutor. Have a limited budget? Not a problem as there is an easy-to-use price filter. Maybe you can only learn in person and you can’t stand zoom meetings. Again, not a problem as one of Superprof’s biggest advantages is its massive library of tutors who are spread around Ireland. All you have to do is put in Limerick, Medicine as the subject (or something more specific) and all the options will appear in front of you. You’ll see every tutor in Limerick and which ones offer in-person lessons. Moreover, once you have all your options laid out, you can go into further detail by looking at the tutor's experience, qualifications and even a handwritten bio. All these steps, information and quality will ensure the highest chance possible to find a tutor.
