About Leakey
I believe that every learner has the ability to excel in mathematics and science. Creating the right attitude and positive mindset are the key objectives of my lessons. I strive to inspire the students to see the relevant opportunities around them. In my class, mathematics is made simple and easy to understand. Complexity of ideas is completely demystified. My teaching technique is learner centered. I allow the students to exploit their abilities by allowing them to explain what they know about the content first, before we discuss agreeable conclusions . This enables them to learn and retain more information!
My lesson plan is designed in three stages:
1. Introduction, where real world experiences relevant to the content is discussed.
2. Content. Class activities and discussions.
3. Conclusions. Based on discussions and observations.
I am a dedicated facilitator of learning and not just a teacher, and this sets me apart. I get fulfillment from the academic excellence of my students.
The lessons are meant for undergraduates, college and high school students.
