About Leigh
I am about to start studying for a PGCE at Birmingham City University. For the past two years I have been teaching English in China and it's something I have enjoyed much more than I thought I would! I've experience teaching large classes (the largest was 70 students) and 1 on 1 face to face learning.

I believe engagement is key to a good learning environment and that can be achieved by using a methodology focused on student particiaption and interaction. I strongly feel that a teacher's role is to increase confidence as well as knowledge. One thing that ius vitally important for learning a language and having the confidence to use it is the ability to think critically. As such, my classes focus on interactivity; worksheets, group exercises, class discussions and improving critical thinking ability.

Cancellations must be given at least 2 hours before the lesson is due to start. I use public transport, so travel costs are based on distance. They will always be discussed to both parties satisfaction in advance of lessons.
